Home visits by a midwife

The Riga Maternity Hospital offers new mothers postpartum visits at home by qualified and experienced midwives.
You can apply for a visit at the Riga Maternity Hospital by calling 29876008, on working days from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m.

When applying for a visit, you will agree on the specific time of the visit, because the arrival of the midwife depends on the distance to be covered from the Riga Maternity Hospital to your place of residence.

The service is provided in Riga and Pieriga (not more than 60 km away from the Maternity Hospital), on weekdays from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. or on weekends and holidays, by prior arrangement with the midwife.

The duration of the home visit by the midwife is 1.5 hours (excluding travel time). A home visit by the midwife in the postpartum period is a paid service. The price of one visit (1.5 h) is EUR 60.
