At the Maternity Hospital, an ophthalmologist performs general eye examinations and diagnoses and treats various eye diseases. During pregnancy, it is recommended that an ophthalmologist is visited by women with ocular abnormalities, as well as pregnant women who have had eye surgeries, who have diabetes, or other severe general illnesses.
