Due to the onset of the influenza epidemic in Latvia and the increase in the incidence of Covid-19 and other acute infections of the upper respiratory tract in Riga, and keeping in mind the best interests of the new mothers and their newborns, the visit of the patients is only permitted to one person without symptoms of infectious diseases at a time.
Maternity care, obstetric care and other healthcare services in Latvia are provided FREE OF CHARGE to Ukrainian citizens.
We encourage pregnant women to get the whooping cough vaccine, which is also available at the Maternity Hospital’s Vaccination Room!
To celebrate 30th anniversary since starting operations in Latvia, Neste is gifting 100 special “Neste Layette Sets” to newborns in the Riga Maternity Hospital to encourage making responsible choices from the very first day of a child’s life.
To do everything possible to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the maternity hospital, Riga Maternity Hospital has taken the decision, to suspend patient visits and to exclude accompanying persons (including the partner, doula, mother, friend etc. of the woman giving birth) from participating in the childbirth.
The reconstruction of the new delivery rooms and maternity care facilities of the Riga Maternity Hospital, as well as the purchase of innovative technologies were financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the state and the Riga Maternity Hospital.
