Riga Maternity Hospitals’ Admission ward provides medical assistance constantly all day and night to women who are pregnant or in labour.

We kindly ask you to come to Admission ward if:
- You are sure you are in a labour;
- You have a sudden and worrying complaints about your own or your unborn child’s wellbeing;
- There is a need to perform cardiotocography (fetal heart beat evaluation) urgently. With referral from state funded doctor it is free of cost.
If you have a referral from your doctor for planned admission at hospital please come during working days from 14:00 till 16:00.
If you have a referral from your doctor for planned Cesarean section please come during working days from 9:00 till 14:30.
In comfortable and safe environment Riga Maternity Hospitals’ Admission ward midwives will evaluate your health status and necessity for further examination or treatment. There will be a need to analyse available documentation and laboratory test results as well as detailed information about your pregnancy, labour or puerperal period so we kindly ask you to provide midwives with such data. This information will be written in the medical documentation so it could be accesible to working staff anytime it is necessary to maintain your and your child’s health.
